EMERGENCY CAMPAIGN
Dignity for the loved ones who have passed away.
The United Nations reports more than 50,000 people missing in Venezuela following the June 24 earthquake. Entire families have been lost in a single moment. For the families still waiting — still searching — we are raising funds to purchase and deliver body bags so they can find their loved ones, and finally say goodbye.

Why We Are Here
For the souls of our loved ones.
The Catholic tradition teaches us that the human body is sacred — a temple of the Holy Spirit, deserving of reverence in life and in death. When the earthquake struck Venezuela on June 24, 2026, entire families were lost in seconds. Whole households. Parents and children together.
The United Nations has confirmed more than 50,000 people missing. The true number of souls is still unknown — and growing. Hospitals and morgues in La Guaira and Caracas exhausted their supply of body bags within hours of the disaster. Without them, families cannot identify their loved ones. They cannot hold a funeral. They cannot begin to grieve.
Dignity in death is not only for those who have passed. It is for the mother still searching for her child. The husband waiting outside a collapsed building. The children who will carry this moment for the rest of their lives. A dignified farewell is the first act of healing for those left behind — and you can make it possible.
The Church calls this a corporal work of mercy: to bury the dead. We are answering that call. Every donation purchases certified body bags, delivered directly to our vetted partner facilities on the ground. One gift. One bag. One family given the chance to begin again.

From the Ground
The scale of what happened. The reason we cannot look away.
These images were taken in La Guaira and Caracas in the hours and days following the earthquake. They are shown without alteration — because the truth of what these families are living through deserves to be seen, and honored, not softened.
Campaign Progress
The United Nations reports more than 50,000 people missing. Our goal is 5,000 body bags — a first response to a need that is still being counted. At $14.87 per bag delivered, we need $74,350 to reach every family our partners can serve today.
Every family still searching deserves an answer. Be among the first to make that possible.
Frequently Asked
Your questions, answered.
No family should bury their loved ones without dignity.
The United Nations has confirmed more than 50,000 people missing. Entire families — lost together, in the same building, on the same night. For those left behind, the greatest mercy we can offer right now is the chance to find them, hold them one last time, and lay them to rest with the dignity every soul is owed.
In the Catholic tradition, we believe that how we treat the dead reflects how we value the living. These families have already lost everything. The one thing we can still give them — a dignified farewell for the person they loved — costs $14.87.
Give what you can. Right now. For a family that has nothing left to wait with.
